Malmöiter: Piazzolla Trio
Piazzolla Trio har en stor passion för Astor Piazzollas tidlösa tangoskatt. Trion bjuder på ett oförglömligt framträdande med en unik tolkning av den argentinske tangokompositörens mästerverk. Deras nyskapande tolkning ger ett fräscht perspektiv på hans musik och lyfter fram passionerade, rytmiska och gripande melodier.
Trion framför arrangemang som skapats särskilt för deras sättning – saxofon, cello och piano – vilket ger ett modernt och nytt grepp om den välkända musiken. Piazzolla Trio består av cellisten Natasha Oteo, född i Sydafrika och uppvuxen i Argentina, den internationellt hyllade jazzsaxofonisten Fredrik Kronkvist och den klassiska mästerpianisten Reetamaria Rajala.

- Natasha Otero – cello
Born in South Africa and raised in Argentina, Natasha Otero is a vibrant and dynamic cellist who has been making waves in the music industry from her base in Sweden. Natasha began her classical training in Buenos Aires at the Music Conservatoire. Recently, she achieved a significant milestone in her career by debuting as a soloist in a sold-out concert at the Magle Konserthus in Sweden. Having performed on both national and international stages, Natasha has received numerous awards such as the prestigious SAMRO Music Study Award, Musicanti Chamber Orchestra Award, and Musicanti Orchestra Award. Beyond her performances, Natasha is also an integral part of The Otero String Quartet, recently collaborating with world-renowned jazz saxophonist Fredrik Kronkvist in his latest project Open Gates. Natasha has recently recorded her Romantic Classics album and Perspectives of Piazzolla under the Nutshell Record Label in Sweden, set to be released later this year.
- Fredrik Kronkvist – saxofon
A world-renowned jazz musician from Sweden, has solidified his position as one of Sweden's greatest talents with a remarkable international career with over 20 albums in his own name with world-class international collaborations.His musical prowess is evident in both his compositions and improvisational skills, captivating audiences with his emotive melodies and powerful sound. Fredrik has recorded albums in New York alongside some of the biggest names in the jazz scene, and he continues to enchant and inspire audiences worldwide with his unparalleled artistry and passion for music whenever he is in the spotlight
- Reetamaria Rajala – piano
After her master studies with Hans Pålsson at the Malmö Academy of Music where she graduated with the highest honors in 2019 Reetamaria has dedicated herself to interpreting minimalist and contemporary compositions as a solo pianist. Her debut album, "SILENCE," released in 2022, displays the captivating simplicity of Nordic minimalism by esteemed Finnish and Swedish composers. In 2026 she released her second solo-album "Stories" focusing on finno-swedish composer Cecilia Damström, recording her whole piano production. Rajala is known also for her Stories-podcast, the role she will get to continue with, making a new podcast about classical music. Rajala is signed to the biggest Finnish classical music record label Alba Records as a recording solo artist.
