I am from Evanston, Illinois (USA).

I started playing both electric and string bass at the age of 10 after my close friend wanted me to play alongside him in our school orchestra. I also studied trumpet and tuba for a few years but ultimately stuck with the bass.

What is your favorite memory with MSO?

I really enjoyed playing Strauss’s Tod und Verklärung and Mahler’s Das Leid

I performed as a guest section bassist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra from 2017 until 2022. I have also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Taking my dog on walks and watching the Chicago Bears (American football) disappoint me every year.

What is your favorite food?

Tonkatsu

Why do you think people should listen to symphonic music?

Because it rocks! (I am biased though)
