What year did you begin to play your instrument, and why that specific instrument? I began playing when I was 12 years old. I don’t know exactly why the clarinet, but I remember that I was really fascinated by the color of the sound.
When did you begin to work in MSO? August 2018
What does your educational background look like? I studied at the Parma Conservatory of music from 2003 to 2010 and then entered the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala from 2010 to 2012. I did my Master in soloist performance at the Reggio-Emilia Conservatory from 2010 to 2013. In the past 10 years I’ve been greatly inspired by my two teachers Fabrizio Meloni and Calogero Palermo.
What is you favorite moment from your time in the MSO? Opening season concert 2018, my first season opening with MSO.
In what other orchestras/ensembles or other contexts have you worked? In the past 10 years I worked mostly in Opera orchestras such as the Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro San Carlo, Teatro Carlo Felice to name a few.
Who is you favorite composer? Mahler and Miles Davis
What do you prefer to do in your spare time? Reading books, practicing my clarinet, playing chess and playing table tennis
What is you tip on activity in Malmö? Going to Copenhagen? Kidding, come to listen to one of our concerts!!
What is your favourite food? Macarons
Why should everyone go and listen to symphonic music? Live performances of great symphonic repertoire such as Mahler and Beethoven symphonies or Stravinsky’s music are some of the most incredible moments one can experience.
