Chamber Concert #3

An afternoon concert in Kuben with music composed for flute, cello, and piano.
Philippe Gaubert’s Trois aquarelles opens the program with three contrasting movements, followed by Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps and two works by Guillaume Connesson – the energetic Toccata-Nocturne and a movement from Initial Dances.

The program continues with Mélanie Bonis’s Suite orientale, in which three movements form a unified whole, and Manuel de Falla’s Danza ritual del fuego. As a finale, Ástor Piazzolla’s 3 Tangos for Trio will be performed, showcasing his characteristic blend of tradition and modernity.

The chamber concerts have been made possible through contributions from the Friends of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in memory of Carl-Ludvig and Marianne Lindstrand.
