What year did you begin to play your instrument, and why that specific instrument? I started playing the flute in 2002. I was playing the violin since I was 4 years old but was more interested in wind instruments somehow. So I went to several orchestra concerts with mom and very much liked how the flutes sound and look in the orchestra.

What does your educational background look like? Seoul Arts High School, Seoul National University, Colburn Conservatory of Music and Sibelius Academy.
What is you favourite moment from your time in the MSO? When I sprained my ankle during my trial period, all my colleagues were worrying and caring how I feel in the rehearsal. I felt the warmth in this orchestra.

What is your favourite food? It’s really hard to pick my favourite but I like all Korean food, also sushi and pasta.
Why should everyone go and listen to symphonic music? I think making music is with sound, breathing, emotion and musician’s passion. All the musicians make an effort for one moment. So if you come and be there with us, you will feel our passion, love, and a lot of energy so you can feel that music is alive.
