Xplore: Crushing Silence – music by Ragnar Grippe
The composer Ragnar Grippe studied electronic music in Paris in the early 1970s. Since then, he has composed music for La Scala in Milan and worked with international choreographers such as Carolyn Carlson.
Grippe has also written music for a number of Swedish and international films, including the theme for Jönssonligan, and created electronic music at the Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm. Ragnar Grippe’s music carries clear French influences where the listener is thrown between different acoustic spaces. The focus constantly shifts to surprise the audience, while the music subtly deepens the experience of sound and space.
The pre-concert talk takes place at the Kanalscenen.
