Sida vid Sida 2025

An incredible concert with young musicians from Malmö Kulturskola/El Sistema playing together with Malmo Symphony Orchestra.

Sida vid Sida is a collaboration between Malmo Symphony Orchestra and Malmö Kulturskola, that started in 2013 with Kulturskolan's El Sistema Malmö.

Tonight's concert is directed by Sergej Bolkhovets, who was a conductor for Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich 2023 and Göteborgsoperan 2020-2022. He has also played violin with the accomplished Berliner Philharmoniker. This concert will provide a moment of inspiration for the audience, who will get to experience classical hits and catchy tunes, in a special composition of professionals and youths - side by side. 

El Sistema is an educational model from Venezuela, where the music is an element used to strengthen communities, children and youths' self esteem and identity. It is currently operational at seven elementary schools in Malmö and has cirka 1500 students and 20 teachers.
