Chamber Concert #2

A Sunday concert dedicated to chamber music with three masters from different eras. The concert opens with Henry Purcell’s Fantasias from 1680. It is followed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s powerful and contrasting String Quartet No. 3 in F major. As a finale, we will enjoy a movement from Florence Price’s String Quartet No. 1 in G major from 1929.

The chamber concerts have been made possible through contributions from the Friends of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in memory of Carl-Ludvig and Marianne Lindstrand.
