Serenad nr 6

Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus

As a genre, the serenade was used as background music for receptions and parties. Mozart compose 13 in all, the last of which, Eine kleine Nachtmusik from 1787, is the most famous. Composed in 1776, Serenade No. 6 is also known as Serenata Notturna. It consists of three movements: the first a majestic march, the second a gently-swaying minuet and the third an effervescent rondo.
