The Harry Potter™ Film Concert Series makes a welcome return with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™, the third film in the series.
On August 29, 30 and 31, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra will be performing John Williams’ unforgettable, Oscar©-nominated score live as the film is shown in HD quality on the gigantic screen in the Malmö Live Concert Hall.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ follows Harry Potter’s third year at Hogwarts, during which Harry, Ron and Hermione meet the escaped prisoner Sirius Black™ and the shapeshifting Boggart™, learn to handle the hippogriff and master the art of divination. As it that wasn’t enough, Harry must also stand up against the soul-sucking Dementors™, lure a werewolf and deal with the truth about Sirius and his relationship to both Harry and his parents.
Timothy Henty will be conducting the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, which will be joined by VOS Choir who will be sprinkling some extra magic on the occasion. This will be another fantastic opportunity to experience the unique universe of J. K. Rowling. The film will be screened in English with Swedish subtitles. Recommended from 11 years of age.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ is presented by Musikkens Hus, CineConcerts and Warner Bros. Consumer Products in collaboration with Malmö Live Concert Hall and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.
A behind-the-scenes Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets featurette delivered by Musikkens Hus last-ing 15 minutes will play on the movie screen(s) prior to and up to the concert's start time. This is a fea-turette focusing on the music of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, including scoring session foot-age and composer/producer interviews. This must be played at all concert performances.
