The Malmö Live youth network
Our vibrant youth network, 040 Live, continues to make an impression on Malmö’s cultural life.
The purpose of 040 Live is to strengthen youth participation in and awareness of the programming and performance of cultural events at Malmö Live. Together with producers and programming directors, they develop and broaden the range of our productions. 040 Live participates in deciding what, where, when and how concerts and events aimed at the target group should take place in and around Malmö Live.
The network was started in 2016 as an Ung Kraft (Young Energy) project, with support from, among others, Region Skåne and businesses such as Skanska, PWC, Massive Entertainment and Mercedes Benz.
Are you between 16 and 26 years of age and interested in music, culture and events? Would you like to know more?

Examples of events arranged by 040 Live during 2018
Following on from last year’s success, 040 Live is continuing with Locals Unplugged, a platform for established local artists to meet their audience, as well as to increase the representation of women, HBQT+ and racialised groups in Malmö’s culture scene. This year’s season offers both hard and soft, heavy and light and, just in time for summer, on 25 May we will be moving outside onto the veranda for an intimate concert.
Joystick Bonus, 14 April 2 pm-9 pm
In conjunction with the tenth edition of the Joystick video game concert on 14 April, 040 Live is arranging a video game bonanza. Visitors to our Kuben concert venue will be taken on a journey back in time before being offered a glimpse of what the future has in store. There will be a Tekken 3 competition, Virtual Reality Malmö, a retro-gaming corner, nerdMarket and much more – free for everybody!
